TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Å·ÃÀ¸ßÇå continues to make national waves in the world of athletics, as head basketball coaches Chiante Wester and Benjy Taylor have been selected to participate in the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, and men's tennis standout Torain Alleyne has been invited to assist during the NBA Draft Lottery.

These selections mark prestigious opportunities for both the basketball programs and Tuskegee's broader athletics brand, underscoring the university's growing presence on the national stage.

Held annually in Chicago, the NBA Combine brings together the top NBA Draft prospects for performance testing, interviews, scrimmages, and evaluations by team personnel.

Wester and Taylor will be among a select group of collegiate coaches invited to work alongside NBA staff in facilitating on-court drills and player development throughout the week.

Wester has guided the Golden Tigers women's basketball program to back-to-back winning seasons and a trip to the SIAC Basketball Championship game this past postseason. Known for her player-first leadership style and emphasis on development, Wester's involvement in the Combine reflects the NBA's ongoing commitment to elevating women's basketball and promoting coaching diversity across levels.

Taylor, who recently completed his sixth season as Tuskegee's men's basketball head coach, brings decades of experience at both the Division I and HBCU levels. A former head coach at Chicago State and assistant at multiple Power Five programs, Taylor has transformed Tuskegee's culture and competitive edge.

Adding to the significant moment for Tuskegee, Alleyne was invited to work behind the scenes at the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery, assisting with logistics and on-site operations during one of the most anticipated events leading up to the NBA Draft.

A top student-athlete and emerging campus leader, Alleyne's selection to assist with the NBA's marquee event reinforces the university's presence across multiple sports disciplines and builds on the NBA's effort to create engagement pipelines for HBCU students in sports business, media, and operations.

"This is a proud moment for Å·ÃÀ¸ßÇå," said Director of Athletics Reginald Ruffin. "The inclusion of both Coach Wester and Coach Taylor at the Combine, as well as Torain, is a testament to the caliber of leadership and excellence that defines Golden Tiger Athletics. Their presence at these events amplifies the importance of representation and affirms Tuskegee's place in the national spotlight."

This year's Combine and Draft Lottery invitations continue the NBA's ongoing HBCU outreach efforts, which include partnerships like the NBA All-Star HBCU Classic, paid internship pipelines, and a growing tradition of spotlighting HBCU coaches and students during marquee league events.

Wester, Taylor, and Alleyne now join a distinguished list of past HBCU participants.
